VOLUME
BY UNITEDVISUALARTISTS (UVA)
Between 11 to 20 Apr 2008, Microwave (A Hong-Kong-based multimedia art group) is exhibiting their next full-scale interactive installation at Tsim Sha Tsui, Hong Kong. British art group UnitedVisualArtists (UVA) is also showing their ‘Volume’ art piece, alongside Hong Kong artist Teddy Lo showing his art piece ‘Xi Kong’. Projection may well be the most popular media among interactive artists, but both UVA and Teddy Lo have adapted the more unusual LED lighting instead. Touchable and interactive, it encourages the audience to take part and subsequently become part of the art piece. Composed of 46 UVA light pillars, Volume was created specifically for V&A Museum. The light pillars change colour according to the rhythm of the audience, making the installation a truly unique experience for each of its audience.
