‘CIGE’ and ‘MILK CHINA’ presents ‘BE@RBRICK MEETS CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS’, a project connecting Chinese contemporary art to fashion.
The many facets of Contemporary art are its charm. CIGE 2008, ‘MILK CHINA’ and MEDICOM TOY from Japan co-hosted BE@RBRICK MEETS CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS, showcasing Chinese contemporary art on a different context and providing a platform for cross-media conversation.
Inheriting the format of collaboration between MEDICOM TOY BE@RBRICK and international artists, the artists are invited to unleash their creativity on the 1000% white BE@RBRICK. The result will be exhibited as BE@RBRICK MEETS CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS at CIGE2008 24th to 28th April 2008. The artists include: Yue Minjun, Ou Yangchun, Chen Ke, Gao Yu, Dorophy Tang and Winnie Lui.
BE@RBRICK MEETS CHINESE CONTEMPORARY ARTISTS is not just an one-off event. An auction for all the pieces will also take place on 24th April 2008 night. The net profit will be donated to ‘Smile Angel Foundation’.
