Scent is, without a doubt, an art. Taking presence in the studio of none other than Karl Lagerfeld, Mizensir is created by Alberto Morillas. Born in Sevilla in 1950, Morillas is regarded as one of the best noses of our time. He started working in perfumery in 1970 and created celebrated perfumes such as ck One by Calvin Klein, Acqua di Giò pour Homme by Armani and Flower by Kenzo to name but a few. What is more, Morillas received the best perfume artist worldwide award from François Coty Prize in 2003. Apart from blockbuster perfumes, Morillas is in demand for personal candle orders every Christmas, each customer requesting a uniquely tailor-made scent for their loved ones. In an atelier near Geneva in Switzerland, Mizensir, which is also known as Morillas’ own secret garden, is set up by the Morillas family in 1999. A family business, it is one of the only brands which insist on hand-made manufacturing. Achieved after countless trial and errors, each Mizensir perfumed candle is uniquely created with its own formulated content, bringing otherworldly beauty to our often neglected senses.
