16th August 2008 is the very special day SILLY THING re-opening its store – ‘THINK SILLY STORE’, to showcase its latest ‘complete style’. Apart from the original SILLY THING product range, WACKO MARIA will also make its debut in Hong Kong, as well as the collaboration items by JAM HOME MADE and SILLY THING.
In preparation for the past 6 months, THINK SILLY STORE specially invited NGAP from Japan to take part in this highly anticipated project. Wooden hut, book shelves, long desk and DJ desk are only some of the highlighting features the Japanese crew materialised. Natural light shimmers through the floor length glass windows, all the elements in the store are in comforting harmony. Foldable chair belonged to European theatre lined outside the hut, accompanied with oriental carpet and 1940s work desk, the store is a harmonised mish-mesh of artistic objects.
Themed ‘CLASSIC meets TECHNOLOGY’, interior features include authentic hut complete with electric glass door; oversized truck turned into a DJ desk; futuristic lighting hung from the ceiling; brick wall a la old church style. Not just a shop, THINK SILLY STORE also rises to the occasions and transforms itself into a fine exhibition venue. Adam Smith Parker from New York will be exhibiting near end of August, this will also be the first in-store exhibition after the re-opening. Please visit www.think-silly.com for the latest updates.
