B Jirushi Yoshida is the brain child of BEAMS and Yoshida & Co., combining ‘basic and exciting’ concept of the first with timeless craftsmanship of the latter. To mark the occasion of THINK SILLY WEB ZINE launch, SILLY THING and B Jirushi Yoshida has collaborated on a special edition of Grocery tote. The sizes are made to the specification of SILLY THING and a badge is placed in the bottom of the bag as verification.

The Grocery tote resembles paper bag from markets back in the time when plastic bag was not yet the norm. Choosing printing ribbon (as used in typewriters) as the material, it is transformed into a cardboard-like texture after treatment. Eco-friendly ‘Eva sheet’ (which does not release toxic chemicals when burnt) is also used instead of glue. Keeping the essential and discarding unnecessary design details, the production is also kept minimal. The result is the Grocery tote that brings back the good old time.
