Apart from leather pieces, HERMÈS is also well known for its silk items. Teaming up with ‘Sidaction’ (an AIDS support organisation), the French luxury house is launching ‘Life in a Pocket’ charity tie. An item made with HERMÈS finest craftsmanship with additional charity value, the tie is embroidered with the ‘red ribbon’ logo at the back. The red ribbon logo is designed by VISUAL AIDS ARTISTS CAUCUS in New York in 1991, which symbolises uniting to act against AIDS and care for the patients. A condom-sized hidden pocket is in place, to express the vital message ‘Protect Yourself’. Part of the profit will be donated to Sidaction, for developing relevant research on AIDS.
