DOM PÉRIGNON
&「STOLEN KISSES」BY SYLVIE FLEURY
Saint Nivard followed the guidance from God in his dream and built the Hautvillers monastery in the 7th Century. One thousand years later, a monk called DOM PÉRIGNON created fine wine and became the father of champagne. Selecting the best grapes and earth of his vineyard, DOM PÉRIGNON allowed slow fermentation over a long period for the best result. Harvested in the same year, and the best year, DOM PÉRIGNON champagne is qualified as vintage.
MOËT & CHANDON launched its finest champagne label ‘DOM PÉRIGNON’ in 1921. Part of the LVMH Group, the label is now recognized as the maker of the finest champagne. Sylvie Fleury (from Switzerland) is the latest designer to collaborate on a crystal glass for the label, complete with hand-painted lip ‘stain’. Named ‘Stolen Kisses’, the limited edition gift set (of 999) is composed of two glasses and a bottle of ‘DOM PÉRIGNON ROSE VINTAGE 1998’.
Sylvie Fleury showed a video based on fashion and automobile at the Mercedes Benz Center previously, as well as being one of the twenty contributing artists in Chanel Mobile Art. You may be able to guess that Karl Lagerfeld at Chanel was the force behind this special edition. In fact Karl Lagerfeld has already been collaborating with DOM PÉRIGNON for a few years and worked on numerous campaigns and special editions.
