HE COMES FROM THE SKY…
OF THE SEA
TSANG KIN WAH

Hong Kong artist Tsang Kin Wah recently shown his sound installation ‘HE Comes from the Sky… of The Sea’ in the group show ‘Drawn in the Clouds: Asian Contemporary Art’ at Helsinki’s Kiasma Museum of Contemporary Art. Tsang was inspired by the history of Finland and its lengthy winter nights, as well as ‘The Bird’ by Alfred Hitchcock. This installation is a reflection on human inner fear — of the unknown, the grand nature, another country, or even a stranger standing nearby.

‘HE Comes from the Sky…of The Sea’ is installed at the staircase of the museum, with words spiraling upwards accompanied by a soundtrack by the artist. The result is a whimsical staircase journey.
