GUCCI CAMPAIGN TO BENEFIT UNICEF
Frida Giannini, the Creative Director of Gucci, launched an annual series with UNICEF in 2005. It is for the cause of South Sahara in Africa, aiming to provide fund for education, medication, clean water and life improvement for over 1,000,000 children affected by AIDS in Malawi and Mozambique.
The Gucci Holiday Collection White ‘Tattoo Heart’ is the design for this year. The tattoo and heart symbolise the charitable gesture of each customer. ‘It is a permanent mark that you can wear with pride… It is an ongoing commitment.’ Giannini stated. Gucci in over 20 countries have extended one month extra to dedicate the selling of the Tattoo Heart series and 25% of the revenue will be donated to UNICEF. Rihanna, the songstress, is the face of Gucci Annual Campaign to Benefit UNICEF this year.
