MOOI is a vintage / design / lifestyle group based in Taipei. The founder Erika was determined to bring it to Hong Kong after meeting a group of like-minded local crowd. MOOI landed in Hong Kong (Tin Hau) late 2007 and established itself as the place for individuals and antique lovers alike.
The buyer of MOOI is deeply knowledgeable about 1950S, 1960S and 1970S European furniture, and the stories attached to these past lives. Since the opening of MOOI, Erika travels to Germany and Denmark alike frequently to purchase new items from flea markets in various parts of Europe. Apart from that, she also visits the neighborhood and buys authentic surprising pieces directly from local residents.
For a year or so, brand new interesting boutiques have been opening in the Tai Hang area. As a two-storey boutique, MOOI is unique in its character and aura. Be it oversize sofa, dining table set, small decoration or even vintage electric appliances, MOOI aims to fulfill its ‘vintage but in good condition’ mission. One bound to find something here, whichever purpose it serves, in the shape of charming antique.
