THE DOM PÉRIGNON BOL-SEIN BY KARL LAGERFELD
TRIBUTE TO THE 18TH CENTURY ART OF LIVING
MANUFACTURE ROYALE de PORCELAINE de SEVRES custom-made the ‘Bol-sein’ series for none other than Marie Antoinette in 1781. The flawless curves are in fact the exact shape of Marie Antoinette’s very own breasts. Used for drinking milk, the French queen later made it the first official champagne glass in the human history.
Karl Lagerfeld continues his collaboration with DOM PÉRIGNON ŒNOTHÉQUE this season with his latest heroine Claudia Schiffer. It is during the shoot that Lagerfeld was inspired to recreate the 21st Century version of ‘Bol-sein’ with Schiffer’s curves.
THE DOM PÉRIGNON BOL-SEIN is manufactured with authentic 18th Century craftsmanship and limited to 1,000 only. Each set individually numbered and stamped, they come completed with autographs of Karl Lagerfeld and Claudia Schiffer.
