The development scheme of Audi TT was officially launched at Audi Design Center in California in September, 1994. TT made its debut as a concept car at Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung 1995. With the brand new laser welding technology, a seamless car design was finally complete. Although the development of new technique took a period of time (so much so that it delayed the debut of TT), it did not reduce the public’s excitement at the slightest.
Launched in 1999, the next model of TT materialised in 2006. TT has expanded into many models over the years — Coupé, Roadster, TT Quattro Sport (with Quattro system), TT TDI (with diesel engine), TTRS (with maximum 340 bhp horsepower) among others. Apart from launching SUV Q5 at the 100th Anniversary of Audi, TT White Edition was also launched before TT RS. Complete with 2.0 Turbo FSI engine, 19” Turbo design alloy wheels with 255/35 R19 tires, front apron and side sills in Ibis White, rear diffuser in Brilliant Black, Brilliant varnish fog lights grille and radiator grille, boot lid spoiler with blade top and bottom in Brilliant Black, Brilliant Black mirror case.
Audi TT has established a time-defining model, pushing the car industry to move forward.
