SILLY THING is now available at Dover Street Market as of March 2009, as the first Chinese label in the store alongside Visvim, Under Cover and Number (N)ine alike. Making a mark in Europe, SILLY THING SS09 collection is triumphant.
The SILLY THING SS09 collection ‘Moonrunners’ combines sports, mechanism, functionality and grown-up style. The collection aims to provide a wardrobe solution for day time cycle traveling as well as formal evening wear. Tailor jacket made in highly durable Cordura® (as seen in our last collection) and DuPont™ Teflon® Fabric Protector (water and oil proof) completes with a removable hood, making it a key item that is both classic and functional.
Tokyo basic wear label Base Control has been collaborating with SILLY THING since 2006. The collaboration label, Basic Gears, offers ‘Thermo Protection’ this season which is designed specially for cycling and with the unstable Hong Kong spring weather in mind. The item provides warmth and does not get caught with cycling chain (a daily issue for many). Thermo Protection can also be layered with shorts, like a classic messenger style. This is a New Gentlemen Style that channels the new SILLY THING aesthetic.
