SILLY THING is demonstrating a grown up style. With cycle function in mind, the ‘Thermo Protection Inner Pants’ is a collaboration with Base Control. The latest arrival Under Cover layer trousers seem to echo the same aesthetic.
Designer Jun Takahashi is pairing formal 3/4 trousers with thermo inner in the same tone. The soft material keeps legs warm, also interprets the idea of ‘inserting functional design detail into formal wear’.
Jun Takahashi has a separate attitude towards womenswear and menswear. Womenswear allows a wider space for expanding an abstract imagination, with the ‘Grace’ collection as an example; Menswear is more subtle and concentrates on a more practical aesthetic. From these trousers we can place a safe bet that Takahashi is a keen cycler.
