EVERYTHING SIFTED EVERYTHING REFINED

Looking like a scene out of a New York street, Sift’s third branch is located in the laid-back Star street area. It is not exactly surprising that late afternoon is the busiest hours for the bakery. The broad windows look out to the endless crowds crisscrossing one another on the street, especially on weekdays. The exquisite pastries are the attraction for a moment of calm contemplation.

After launching the Dessert Bar in Central three years ago and Central Kitchen in Ap Lei Chau Horizon Plaza last year, the authentic French flavour is the key for Sift. The owner polished her skills at Per Se in Manhattan, hand picking France-imported ingredients fresh sweet cream butter, Valrhona chocolate and coca, Madagascar Bourbon Vanilla to create mouth-watering pastries, cupcakes, macaroons, cookies and marshmallow. ‘Ispahan’ is a delicious big red cake made with raspberry, lychee, rose buttercream macaroon. Strawberry cupcakes are made with lush strawberry puree buttercream on strawberry cake base. Lemon tart is filled with refreshing berries. Cookies are lovingly chewy and packed with Valrhona dark chocolate chips, oatmeal and raisons.

The delightfully minimal packaging is designed for two, three, six or twelve pastries. Custom-made cake service customised for special occasions with a time frame from one day to one week depending on the specific creation.
