Unlike chain shops and received much praises, Visual Culture opened a flagship store in Tai Kok Tsui (Kowloon, Hong Kong) last year. The little shop is complete with rarely seen European and U.S. glasses made by labels such as Moscot, Shuron and Antonio Miro alike. Naturally, it did not take long before the glasses-lovers make their way to the shop. In the short space of one year, Visual Culture has increased its foreign stock to over twenty labels. Due to customer anticipation, Visual Culture is opening a new shop in Causeway Bay (Hong Kong Island, Hong Kong). Near Pak Sha Road pedestrian area and located upstairs, the new space interprets an exclusive retail experience.
Visual Culture continues to provide glasses lovingly chosen by the owner, such as Jean Maryll handmade glasses from Clairvaux Les Lacs, France. Visual Culture aims to provide in-depth information to their customers, based on the belief that glasses are much more than just accessories. It is also a design genre that witnesses the evolution of our culture, which is also the reason behind its name Visual Culture.
Hong Kong is a small place filled with a big crowd. Under pressure of soaring rent, there are fewer and fewer retailers with a mission to call its own. All-white interior with minimalist brick set up, wooden counter and chair (for eye checks), the Hong Kong 1980s aesthetic reflects a genuine nostalgia.
