Mother Nature and the existence of human race are connected since ancient time. We are the world and the world is us, men affect Mother Nature with profound consequences. Renowned fashion designers and perfumers are united in the international project ‘Six Scents’, its sequel ‘Six Scents‧Series Two’ numbered No.1 to No. 6.
Through fragrance, story-telling, movie, art and photography, ‘Six Scents‧Series Two’ aims to deconstruct the relationship between art and nature. This eco-message includes collaborators such as American Chinese designer Philip Lim (3.1 Philip Lim); Croatia-born Damir Doma, who used to work with Raf Simons; Central St. Martin graduate Henrik Vibskov, from The Netherland; Henry Holland at House of Holland (famed for his slogan tees); Richard Nicoll, whose graduate collection was bought by Dolce & Gabbana; Toga, the Japanese designer who brought her collection to Paris in 2006. With Mother Nature as inspiration, the designers inject their own twist. Yasuko Furuta at Toga considers the nature as the special potion for those who dwell in the excesses of a city — the amber hue of Toga perfume is inspired by whisky.
‘Six Scents‧Series Two’ is a limited edition of 2,000. 10% of its profit will be denoted to support Pro-Nature — a charity working on environmental issues in developing countries.
