Apart from the obvious practical function, glasses have become style statement and earn their status as fashion accessories. London-based Prism counts colette (Paris), Dover Street Market (London), Barneys (New York) and Opening Ceremony (Los Angeles) as some of their stockists; also making appearance in top international style press such as ‘Vogue’, ‘i-D’, ‘Interview’, ‘Nylon’, ‘Dazed & Confused’ and ‘032c’.
Anna Laub (Creative Director of Prism) works in fashion journalism and scouts from cities all over the world, from London, Rio de Janeiro, Copenhagen to New York. It is only fitting that the five series are named after them: Rio, New York, London, Paris and Rome. Manufacturing in Treviso (Italy) in a family-run glasses factory where all production are made by hand, each Prism glasses are one-offs. Their glasses case takes inspiration from the name-sake prism. Channeling the Prism concept throughout its product and branding, first impression certainly counts.
