LE PRINCE JARDINIER
THE FRENCH ‘ART OF LIVING’
The extraordinary family of Louis Albert de Broglie includes a prime minister, Nobel Prize winner, acclaimed author and general officer. After working in banking in London for seven years, traveling in India and Latin America for several years, Louis Albert de Broglie returned to his homeland and changed course to restore the renaissance Château de La Bourdaisière and its vegetable garden in Loire Valley (which is known as the ‘French garden’). He planted over 650 types of tomato ─ the ‘National Tomato Collection’, prompting friends to refer him as ‘Le Prince Jardinier’.
Le Prince Jardinier launched a collection of elegant handmade garden tools and accessories in 1995, including hat, tool kit and flower disc. He expanded this nature-inspired collection in 2004, launching perfume and scented candles such as Sous Un Tilleul, Fleur Sacrée, Pomme d’or, Tomate Aristocrate, Vanille Ambrée, Premier Mai, Glycine de Chine and Scottish Memories. The eight classic scented candles are contained in dashing silverware, carrying an air of the fifteenth century French royalty.
Le Prince Jardinier is available at Galaries Lafayette (France), Harrods (UK), Bergdorf Goodman (US), Seibu (Japan) and Arts & Science (Japan). It is soon arriving in THINK SILLY Store Hong Kong.
