The name ‘Leica’ is almost equivalent to photography for many ─ apart from high technology, the brand speaks for history and respectable traditions. Leica persistently promotes the culture of photography throughout the world ─ the company just opened two stores in Hong Kong. Located in IFC and Times Square, they will serve as the arena for photographers alike to familiarize themselves with Leica and its product.
The interior and installation material is imported from Germany ─ the Hong Kong stores being re-constructions of the Berlin Leica HQ. The spacious stores allow one to browse for cameras and parts comfortably ─ also on display is its other highlight, the telescope series. A mini gallery is built inside the Central store, where regular photography exhibitions will take place.
