With advanced DSLR cameras in the market are already in full frame format nowdays, Rollei (the ninety years old German camera maker) is also launching the first AF camera for medium format — Hy6. Compatible with both film and digital, it embraces modern technology without disposing the past.

Rolleiflex Hy6 is compatible with 4.5cm × 6cm, 6cm × 6cm and digital back, and future CCD sensor upgrades. Apart from the recently launched digital AF lens, it is also compatible with vintage and current lenses such as all of the 6000 series and Schneider Digital AFD series. Its direct-drive mirror reduces vibration to its minimum, achieving the sharpest images. It is worth noting that the automatic flash speeds from 1/1000 second, adequate for commercial shoots. The adjustable handle is user-friendly and hassle-free. Viewfinder can be easily interchanged with waist level finder or telescopic 90° high-eyepoint viewfinder. Its working temperature stretches from -20°C to +60°C.

User-friendly and inclusive, the Rolleiflex Hy6 allows the user to focus on the creative (as opposed to technical) aspect of image making.
