Brooches bring nostalgic memories to mind, as they grace many childhood occasions and ignite the notion of ‘dressing up and going somewhere special’. Comme des Garçon continues its classic and stylish tradition in its A/W2010 collection, using floral sculpture as starting point to create three oversize hand-paint brooches (which are bound to be future collector’s items). There is also a set of five brooches in very wearable metallic palette, for the less daring at heart. Packaged in raw cardboard covered with hand drawing, the Comme des Garçon aesthetic ─ making humble objects special ─ channels through.
