PANASONIC LUMIX DMC-LX5
FINE-TUNING TO PERFECTION
Even though the size of Micro 4/3 cameras is dramatically reduced, it is still not as portable as a prosumer model. The quality of the latter is constantly improving and attracting more customers. Panasonic recently launched the latest model of the LX series — Lumix DMC-LX5. Following the popular LX3, LX5 is not dramatically different, as speculated in the press. The result is a focus on fine-tuning.
In order to be more user-friendly, rear dial is added at the back; without raising the resolution, it is equipped with a 1/6.3 inch CCD with 10.1 megapixels. The key being its high ISO reducing noise and keeping details in check at the same time. The F2.0 24 – 90mm Leica DC Vario-Summicron wide-view lens is an aspherical lens, therefore minimizing stretch on colour and shape. The newly added AVCHD Lite HD filming function, 3-inch wide screen with LED backlight technology and padded handle are all valid adjustments, perfecting the camera into an all-rounder. The model also comes in white.
