Arose in the 1990s, A Bathing Ape® has since established itself as a cult, conveying many nostalgic memories. It is now one of the most recognized labels worldwide. Since Tetsu Nishiyama took over the design direction of ‘Ursus Bape®’ and launched Mr. Bathing Ape, as well as set up Curry Up restaurant, there are many changes within Bape® and founder NIGO®.

Following World Wide Bape® Heads Show in 2008, ‘Silly Bape Thing’ is the next collective effort of Silly Thing and Bape®. The collection expresses the lead figures – TK and NIGO®’s idea of Bape®. A month before the launch of the full Silly Bape Thing Collection, its official website is already launched, featuring conversation between TK and NIGO®, and a special release of two limited edition items.

The collaboration T-shirts are:

SILLY BAPE THING ‘2 GENERALS’ – titled ‘2 GENERALS’, TK and NIGO® join forces again to create new items based on Bape® and Silly Thing’s ‘Generals’ emblem.

‘GENERAL POLYGON’ – recreating classic Bape® character The Ape General, to take us back to the beginning of Bape® in the 1990s. The additional designs are inspired by TK’s attire.

Combining Bape®’s original aesthetic with new elements, the two Silly Bape Thing limited edition T-shirts will be available on 4th September (Sat).
