The 44mm diameter of Panerai is now extended to 60mm for PAM00341, its perfectly crafted watch case is paired with 5.8mm Plexiglas® and a substantial 26mm wide strap. The titanium case keeps it lightweight. The polished surface takes on a sophisticated aesthetic, and is almost scratch-proof. The Panerai P.2002/7 manual calibre generates eight days’ worth of energy each time.
It wasn’t until 1993 that Panerai created its first commercial watch. The company has achieved international recognition within the short space of seventeen years, its status is evidential at Sotheby — the auction house organised an event specifically for Panerai in 2006. Panerai started developing its own calibre since 2003, and successfully produced P.2002, P.2003, P.2004, P.2005, P.2006, P.9000, P.9001 and P.9002 to date.
