Rimowa recently opened its Macau flagship store last month, taking luxurious in-flight interior as the inspiration and divided the space into ‘Solid’ and ‘Vintage’ sections. The ‘Solid’ collection is made in aero-quality aluminium, with the label’s signature grooved detail and the newly added buffer structure. The overall design enhances comfort and stability during travel, as well as being noise-absorbent. Completed with solid aluminium and telescopic handles, the model is available in white silver, yellow gold and platinum.

The ‘Vintage’ collection is a tribute to the first Rimowa aluminium grooved suitcase, the world’s first in the Fifties. A limited edition of 1950 units worldwide, it is a collector’s item. Made in aero-quality aluminium, each suitcase is marked with individual serial number. A re-issue of the authentic Fifties design, the classic design also signifies the lasting quality of Rimowa. The ‘Vintage’ collection will be available worldwide in January 2011.
