Visual Culture Optical was opened in Tai Kok Tsui (Kowloon, Hong Kong) in April 2008. The exclusive stockist for Moscot Originals, Shuron, Jean Maryll and other rare foreign labels, the select store attracted much attention from the Hong Kong market. Following its second store in Causeway Bay, Visual Culture is now stocking over twenty much sort-after international labels such as Fabris Lane, Antonio Miro, Anne Valerie Hash and Preciosa. Established with a solid customer base, its unique operation model is the key to this local optical store.
As a celebration of its second anniversary, and respond to Macau customers in the two Hong Kong stores, Pazo (director of Visual Culture) decided to open a third store in Macau, also as a step towards mainland China. The Macau store is located at Estrada De Adolfo Loureiro, its minimalistic interior – white palette with wooden cabinet and vintage furniture – is similar to Hong Kong stores. In keeping with the ‘hidden gem operation model’ of Visual Culture, there is no window display in the Macau store. A wooden blind is fitted instead, with a mysterious look from outside. The unique set up offers mesmerising retail experience to its customers.
