Founded by Yosuke Aizawa in 2006, White Mountaineering focuses on functional clothing for outdoor purposes. Known for its colourful designs mixed with hi-tech fabric, the label has quickly risen to become one of the most high profile in Japan. Its SS2011 collection, ‘Primitive Line’, takes inspiration from traditional tribal clothing. Combined with hi-tech material, it is a postmodern take on a ‘primitive mood’.
