With its first store opened on Wyndham Street (Central, Hong Kong) in 2007, Visvim recently celebrated its second opening on 26 March 2011. A tranquil location, the set up in the new store distinguishes itself from the Central store. Keeping its distance from the city streets, the atmosphere echoes designer Hiroki Nakamura’s fondness to nature.
Nakamura explained at the opening that ‘the spaciousness and gentleness contrasts with the city, creating a unique style close to what the label represents. We hope that it would translate to customers who visit the store’. The new store houses both menswear and womenswear, including a special edition of T-shirt, shirt and shoes Nakamura designed as a celebration for the opening. Visvim recently collaborated with Hong Kong boutique On Pedder to create an oversize installation in Joyce, to launch its SS2011 collection and announce On Pedder as its first women’s accessories stockist in Hong Kong.
