Parmigiani Bugatti Super Sport, a limited edition of thirty, fuses Bugatti Veyron Super Sport technology into a watch.
Ever since Parmigiani Fleurier and Bugatti formed a partnership in 2001, the two companies have been co-launching watches together (its debut, Bugatti Type 370, was launched in 2004). Bugatti Super Sport straps are by French luxury house Hermes; the watch is in 18K yellow gold; with 50.7mm x 36mm platinum case and core completed with two planes, providing energy enough for ten days. With a total of 337 parts, the production takes place at Parmigiani Fleurier head quarter. Many design details enhances Bugatti features — time display, power reserve display clock arm and marking in orange, ‘B’ sign on crown.
Base on Veyron 16.4 Super Sport, the streamline silhouette echoes the curvy Bugatti Super Sport rear. The biggest highlight is its sideway time display — parts are fitted to a vertical axis, with wheels turning horizontally. Ideal for drivers who prefer not to turn their wrist during driving. The model is now the first ever watch with a face placed perpendicular to its core.
