Debuted in Hollywood in 1995, Michael Bay directed Bad Boys starring Will Smith and established his status on the A-List. Bay’s films have already taken in revenue of thirty millions (U.S. dollar), with his latest Transformers series as a global blockbuster. Its third installment is based on the space race between U.S. and Soviet Union in the Sixties: Optimus Prime lands on the moon to rescue the former leader Sentinel Prime, triggering the extreme Autobots to launch an attack on the Earth. A series of events are then unfolded, causing Optimus Prime to join forces with Megatron. A spectacular battle begins, as anticapted by those who have watched the trailer.

Apart from the main story line, the special effect is, without a doubt, an attraction. With the experience of the sequel, Bay has upgraded this latest offering to a 3D film. Advised by James Cameron, he employed the Avatar team – using visual, action and special effects to create an immaculate and otherworldly space. For the hardcore fans, the IMAX version is not to be missed.
