As a follow up of GF2, the third generation model is noticeably evolved, indicating its target marketing for Micro 4/3 series (including GH, G and GF). With its size reduced by 16.7% and the built-in flash weights only 222g, the size is similar to a portable digital camera. Streamlined aluminum case and now rid of external flash hot shoe, the design is ergonomically enhanced and offers a comfortable grip.

This new model is upgraded to 120ftps, with focus time as short as 0.1 second (same as professional GH2 model); touch screen is excellent for navigating, enabling the user to manually control over focus. Scroll wheel replaces the four-way-controller, setting can be customised on Q.Menu. With a choice of black, white, red, brown and pink, Panasonic GF3 is now available for pre-order.
