Since the 80’s, Massimo Bonini’s showroom is based in Golden Quad, Milan. A shoe wholesaler for numerous international labels and designers, countless buyers from all over the world visit the showroom regularly. 20 years on, the company is responsible for distributing stock in 63 countries. What’s more, it has opened the first ever retail store at Lee Garden (Causeway Bay, Hong Kong).

With an interior designed by Milano architect Carlo Colombo, contrast is the theme here. Bespoke mirror cabinet can be place in an angle to display shoes effectively; when packed, it returns to the form of a simple mirror. Pearl grey and cream are the shades of the store, creating a comforting sight; white leather-covered lamp shade and red rubber chairs are dotted around the space. The Hong Kong store distributes over 20 international labels including McQ by Alexander Mcqueen, John Galliano, Etro, Sebastian, Roberto Cavalli and Henderson, as well as accessories such as Airam carbon fiber bangle and handbag collections by Antonio Marras, Azzurra Gronchi and Sebastian. The variety testifies the status of this specialty company.
