RICOH GR DIGITAL IV
CAPTURE EVERY FLEETING MOMENT
The Ricoh GR Digital series has always been clearly defined in the camera market. With its light and minimal body design, the series features quick and easy user interface, large aperture fixed lens, macro mode, high quality CCD sensor and noise reduction capabilities. Other fundamentals such as post-production, image quality and mechanical construction round off this high performance design. It is this camera series that created a new photographic culture within the booming electronic trend.
Two years after the launch of the GR Digital III, Ricoh have announced the arrival of the fourth incarnation of the series, the GR Digital IV. In favour of the usual all black shell, the camera has undergone a few improvements under the hood. Featuring a 10MP CCD sensor and a fixed 28mm f/1.9 lens, the new generation GR Engine pushes the ISO sensitivity to 3200, while adding “Dynamic Range Compensation” to help minimizing the effects of blown highlight in bright areas. With the improved Sensor-shift Image Stabilization, the camera also boosts an external hybrid AF system that offers AF focusing time as short as 0.2 seconds. Furthermore, the 3.0 inch LCD display has been upgraded from 0.92 million to 1.23 million dot. To enhance the overall experience, a Multiple Exposure mode and a wide range of camera filters have been added to the mix. Other than the classic black colorway, this release will also include a white edition that is limited to 10,000 units worldwide.
