TASSELS HONG KONG EXCLUSIVE
American classic handmade bookmaker Alden launched‘Alden for Obscura’style not long ago, and has been working closely with Tassels. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, its latest offering is the Navy Flexwelt collection – a worldwide exclusive. All the more exclusive now that the U.S. factory is no longer providing bespoke service.
Four classic Alden styles are included in this collection, made in navy suede, sewn with soft water-loc sole – for extra comfort and slip resistance for rainy days. The basic style Dover Shoes are made with Barrie Last to keep its slim shape in place. The absence of lining gives more comfort. Tassel Moccasin is leisure yet classic, made with Aberdeen shoe last; stitching in light shade draws attention to the toes. The two-hole Chukka Boot is also without lining, ensuring air circulation. Navy Saddle, in shade of tobacco with navy, is complete with ornate pattern and bronze shoe lace – a sophisticated touch.
As part of the anniversary celebration, Tassels is also launching a Special Tweed Tote. Made in tweed with leather accessories, the size allows generous room; also the gold-medal-winning, over-hundred-year-old Saphir Medaille D’or leather shoe care products, including various shoe polishes (made in bee’s wax, Brazilian palm wax and lanolin) and brushes; packaged in wooden boxes, authentic-looking with a sense of the brand’s heritage.
