Naming the new White Mountaineering 2012 fall/winter season “Award Tour”, designer Yosuke Aizawa trying to present a travelers vibe. Bringing back the plaid and primitive patterns the brand is known-for and mixing them with a variety of new colors, brings a new perspective to what one usually considers traveling gear, for an example, look no further than the collection’s slip on shoe: Utilizing a brownish blue hue in combination with redwood colored lines, recreates strong ethnic pattern imagery in shoe form. The front toe is also covered with leather with same colorway, with thickened pad that enhances the durability, perfect for extensive traveling. The shoe also comes in a lace-up style made from suede. This season also unveils the first travelers case co-developed from the brand and Porter, coming in charcoal gray, the luggage case is made from lightweight cloth, and comes with a bevy of pockets and hidden storage sections for anything you may need while you’re away from home. Designed with practicality in mind, the case comes with adjustable pull handles, which can be hidden from sight when not in use, and short handles for using as a briefcase. Also, the brands logo is engraved onto each snap button, an understated and classy statement indeed.
